But as traditional terrestrial radio shifted toward corporate playlists and homogenized sound, the true heart of Southern Rock, Outlaw Country, and Southern Blues began to fade from the FM dial.
I faced a choice: watch the music I loved disappear into the digital void or find a new way to keep it alive. Starting an FM radio station is a massive undertaking—between land, building costs, and tower infrastructure, you’re looking at a million-dollar barrier to entry. But the music is too important to be gated by a price tag.
That’s why I created JAX Southern Rock Radio. By bypassing the limitations of local FM and moving to the digital space via Live365, I’ve been able to bring the soul of the South to every music lover across the nation.
